Our story

Smooth Transitions Advisory was created out of the need for an all-encompassing advisory service that is specific to face-to-face fundraising. One based on proven methodology, years of continued success and with a focus on consistent quality and innovation.

Following a highly successful introduction to face-to-face fundraising, working with a multi-national supplier, our Director Matt Gilbert launched Smooth Transitions (a high-quality F2F agency) in 2013, with the goal of delivering industry-best donor-retention numbers and staffing conditions, and with the desire to prove that ‘churn and burn’ recruitment methods, poor fundraiser behaviour and staff burnout didn’t have to go hand in hand with face-to-face fundraising.

After its namesake predecessor proved that exceptional ROI and commercial success can be achieved and sustained whilst following a high-quality, staff care and retention approach, Smooth Transitions Advisory was launched in early 2016 to provide charities, agencies and fundraisers with, either a step-by-step model or a tailor-made plan to build and maintain high-quality, scalable face-to-face programs.
